![]() ![]() I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe that a $60 box from a company that doesn't even put a phone number on thier website is going to do anything on this car. The 4G requires the use of the MUT-III factory programming tool to access the ECU.and even with that I don't believe the map can be read and edited in the same way as older ECU's.ultimately it's in there and it's the same, but getting the information out and editing it has evaded even the best companies in the field. I'm a little confused by what actually happens at the OBD2 port to allow you to change map data, can you elaborate?ģ. Are you saying on the older american cars ECU's you can grab values from the map inside the ECU and change them? I mean the program calls a data location and goes to that location and gets the information.what does that have to do with the OBD2 port? All that information is either on-chip or at the very least in an EPROM that's on-board.there isn't going to be anything external for the ECU to look at. ![]() So far NO ONE has been able to accomplish this to my knowledge.Ģ. In order to "reprogram" any map, you first have to know what all the values are which requires you to be able to extract the ECU maps and view them. Click to expand. You sound like you know something about this, so I'm going to ask some questions and I have some concerns.ġ.
